How to move money from Skrill to crypto (USDC) with Norpo

Turn a Skrill balance into USDC on your own wallet without a bank account: the steps through the Norpo checkout, what it really costs and what to check first.

Many people hold money in Skrill with no bank account to withdraw it to — freelancers, traders, affiliates paid in Skrill. Skrill itself can be slow to move money out, and a crypto wallet is often the most useful place for it. This guide shows how to turn a Skrill balance into USDC on a wallet you control, using a Norpo payment link.

How it works

A Norpo payment link opens a checkout. One of its options is “Skrill, PayPal or card” through Changelly: a regulated exchange partner takes the Skrill payment, buys USDC and sends it to the address of your order. Norpo then forwards it to your own wallet, minus its fee. Nobody holds the money in between.

  1. Create a Norpo account and set your payout wallet — any EVM address you control (MetaMask, Trust, a Ledger), because USDC arrives on Polygon.
  2. Ask support to switch on “Skrill, PayPal, cards via Changelly” for your account. It is off by default because it costs more than other methods.
  3. In the dashboard, open Payment links and create a link for the amount you want to move.
  4. Open the link, choose “Card, PayPal or Skrill”, copy the order address and press “Open Changelly”.
  5. On Changelly pick Skrill as the payment method, paste the address as the recipient and check that “You get” is at least the amount shown on the order.
  6. Pay from Skrill. When the USDC arrives, the order closes and the money is forwarded to your wallet.

What it costs

Be clear-eyed about this: paying with Skrill is one of the more expensive ways to buy crypto, because the exchange partner carries the risk of the Skrill payment. A quote taken on 29 September 2026 for €1,000:

  • At the market rate €1,000 is about 1,135 USDC.
  • Skrill through the exchange partner (Paybis): about 1,020 USDC — roughly 10% below market.
  • Norpo: 2% in total on what arrives, of which 1% is Norpo’s fee.
  • All in, expect to receive around 88–89% of the market value. Prices move; check the live quote on Changelly before you pay.

If you also have a card or a bank account, paying by card (around 3–7% at the partner) or SEPA transfer is noticeably cheaper than Skrill for the same route.

Before you start

  • The exchange partner may ask you to verify your identity, especially on the first purchase or a large amount. That check is theirs, not Norpo’s.
  • Keep the Skrill account in EUR or USD and pay in the same currency to avoid Skrill’s own conversion fee.
  • Never change the recipient address on Changelly — the order is matched by that address.
  • Send one payment per order. If less than the order amount arrives, the checkout shows what is missing and you can top up to the same address.

Why USDC on Polygon

USDC is a dollar stablecoin, so the amount does not swing while it travels, and Polygon keeps network fees at a fraction of a cent. From there you can hold it, pay with it, or move it to an exchange. More on that choice in why settle in USDC on Polygon.
