How to accept PIX payments from Brazil without a Brazilian company

PIX is how Brazil pays. How a foreign merchant can take PIX, Bolivian and Bangladeshi local payments, get credited in USD and withdraw in USDT.

PIX is the instant payment system run by Brazil’s central bank, and for most Brazilians it is simply how money moves: rent, groceries, online orders. A store that only takes cards shows a large part of its Brazilian visitors a checkout they would rather not use. The problem for a merchant outside Brazil is that PIX normally needs a Brazilian bank account and a local company to receive it.

Why cards alone lose Brazilian customers

  • Many buyers do not have an international card, or have one with a low limit for foreign purchases.
  • Foreign card payments often carry an extra tax and a worse exchange rate for the buyer.
  • PIX settles in seconds with a QR code or a copy-and-paste key, and people trust it because their own bank app confirms the payment.

How Norpo takes PIX for you

Norpo works with a local payment aggregator that receives PIX on your behalf. The buyer sees a PIX QR code in the Norpo checkout, pays from their banking app, and the payment is confirmed automatically. You do not need a Brazilian entity or bank account.

  1. The buyer chooses PIX at checkout and scans the QR code.
  2. The aggregator confirms the payment to Norpo.
  3. Your custodial balance is credited in USD, minus the Norpo fee, straight away. There is no hold.
  4. You withdraw in USDT on TRON (TRC-20) whenever you like. Withdrawals are paid within one business day.

Local methods use a custodial balance because the money arrives in local currency through a bank rail, not on-chain. Card and crypto payments on Norpo still settle straight to your own wallet and never touch that balance.

The same model for Bolivia and Bangladesh

Brazil is the first of three launch countries. Bolivia and Bangladesh work the same way: local methods at checkout, USD on your balance, USDT out. More countries are added to the same balance as they go live, with nothing to change on your side.

Withdrawals

  • Currency on the balance: USD, available immediately.
  • Payout: USDT on TRON (TRC-20), to an address you set once in the dashboard.
  • Minimum withdrawal $100, flat $3 network fee, paid within one business day.
  • Changing the withdrawal address needs your password and a two-factor code, and pauses withdrawals for 24 hours.

The same balance can also fund mass payouts: paying affiliates or partners in USDT from what your Brazilian customers paid in.

Getting started

Create an account, add a withdrawal address and turn on two-factor authentication. Local methods are switched on per account, so message support once your account is set up. The rest of the integration is the same API with a key you would use for cards.
